ShortCuts Film Festival is Western Sydney's premier short film festival for young people, a popular event that takes place during National youth Week since 2004.

Shortcuts offer young people (12 - 25 years) who live, work or study in the region a chance to screen their short films, get industry feedback, and win prizes for their work.

The film festival was created by Powerhouse Youth Theatre in response to community demand - Western Sydney is exploding with young filmmakers thanks to the DIY attitude of the Youtube and Facebook generation.
