Pagoda Parkour brings Fairfield’s young urban, and culturally diverse parkour and street style dancers to a remote Australian bushland environment. It layers and adapts the street dance of the award winning Dauntless Movement Crew (DMC) to the unique pagoda rock formations at Ganguddy (Dunn’s Swamp) in the Wollemi National Park.
As the performers traverse across the natural pagoda structures and engage with the ancient geologic forms, a story that expresses and explores the history and significance of the landscape is revealed.
Pagoda Parkour is presented as part of CEMENTA Festival, 6 – 9 April 2017, Kandos NSW
PYT | Fairfield will present Pagoda Parkour, a collaboration between Karen Therese, Victoria Hunt and the Dauntless Movement Crew, a Fairfield parkour, b-boy and tricking team.
This project was made possible by the generous support of Festivals Australia.
