PYT l Fairfield has partnered with Critical Path to deliver a three year project that explores contemporary dance practice in Western Sydney and aims to make space for different movement practices in our culture to share and work together.
In 2019 Victoria Hunt will facilitate the ‘Why Is It Art?’ choreographic residency, which will bring together Maria Tran (martial artist, action filmmaker), Eliam Royalness (hip-hop & vogue dancer) and Larissa McGowan (contemporary dance maker) to examine and expand their ‘non-traditional’ dance and movement practices and consider how these movement/choreographic practices sit in relation to contemporary art contexts.
