We’re proud to announce Jasmin Khamo as the recipient of the 2025 Lansdowne Foundation Scholarship.
ABOUT JASMIN
Jasmin Khamo is an Assyrian-Australian writer, musician, and business owner born and raised in Smithfield. Jasmin was a member of the 2024 PYT Fairfield ensemble, where she developed an appreciation and love of community collaboration through theatre. Because of her passion for community and commitment to supporting community accessibility, she owns and co-owns two local businesses: Parramatta Actor’s Centre, Western Sydney’s leading acting school, and Invictus Driving School, which has a strong focus on empowering women in the local community with critical driving skills. Jasmin also completed a Bachelor of International Business at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2019.
Jasmin has a profound interest in stories that explore the various barriers that obstruct personal freedom, particularly the barriers that stand in the way of achieving a better quality of life. As part of the 2025 Lansdowne Scholarship, she will be exploring this theme in the development of a new theatre work.
