The PYT Ensemble is a free, six-month program designed for emerging artists (ages 18-28) from Western Sydney who are passionate about performance.

Participants engage in weekly training in acting, improvisation, writing, and devising original stage work, led by experienced artists and industry professionals. Throughout the program, Ensemble members take part in workshops, masterclasses, and industry events, gaining valuable skills and connections in the performing arts. They also have exclusive access to PYT Fairfield’s theatre spaces, mentorship opportunities, and free tickets to partner events.

PYT Fairfield is Western Sydney’s only professional theatre company dedicated to developing local talent, with alumni performing at Sydney Festival, Sydney Opera House, and Belvoir St Theatre 25a. Ensemble members are given access to paid work opportunities—in 2024, 93% secured jobs in the arts.

The program runs Mondays, 10 AM – 1 PM, from March 10 to June 30, with a school holiday break. After completing the program, select participants are invited to join the PYT Company, where they develop a live performance and travel to an interstate festival for industry exposure.
