
#GetFUNPARKed on 26 March 2022 when Bidwill transforms into a vibrant outdoor community festival celebrating place, culture, local talent and creativity.
FUNPARK is a mini arts festival celebrating the culture, people and lived experience of the community of Bidwill, Mt Druitt. Now in its eighth year, FUNPARK once again invites audiences to come and experience unique cultural exchange.
Developed with local communities, FUNPARK merges contemporary art practices with local experiences. Presented on site at Bidwill Square and surrounds, FUNPARK will compose of a series of works including but not limited to: First Nations welcome and performance, an interactive art installation by CuriousWorks, workshops/activities, 0-5 play area, film screenings, performances by Western Sydney artists such as BARKAA, MRVZ, MANIFOLD, THE PIONEERS and so much more!
FUNPARK is a sustained arts engagement project presented in and for the Mt Druitt community. Since its premiere in 2014 Sydney Festival, FUNPARK has developed into a sustained collective impact project – led by a coalition of four acclaimed companies. FUNPARK 2022 will highlight the narratives of Mt Druitt youth and its residents through unique and critical expression of Australian culture.
