Sarah Kalule
Sarah Kalule is an accomplished Sydney-based dancer who has received acclaim for her performances nationally and internationally over a multi-year professional career. She is thrilled to be participating the March Dance 2023 residency program, facilitated by PYT Fairfield. Her focus will be on the jazz golden age and the spectacle of show business; delving into the joys and struggles of dance in theatre. Sarah will explore jazz dance in physical theatre contexts, while rigorously deconstructing and reflecting on shared experiences amongst dancers and artists alike. She is eager to create innovative pieces that pay homage to the jazz golden age, while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in contemporary performance. Sarah hopes to gain new insights and perspectives on her craft and emerge as a more well-rounded and versatile performer.
