PYT Fairfield’s Residency Program supports young and emerging artists from Western Sydney to create, continue or present a piece of original work for live performance. Residencies generally take the form of a 1 week-long dedicated intensive block where the artist has use of PYT Fairfield’s theatre and culminates in a showing, presentation, or discussion at the end of the work in development. As well as space, PYT Fairfield provides producing, mentoring, financial support and profiling to the artist-in-residence.
Residencies can be used to:
- to develop an entirely new idea
- a second residency to build upon previous residency
- a presentation of a new work that has previously had a residency at PYT Fairfield
Application criteria
