PIONEERS brings young queer and CALD Western-Sydney artists together to explore dance, activism and identity through the contemporary social, psychological and physical relationships they have with public space.

Stage Soldiers (A work-in-progress event)
PYT Fairfield, in association with Sydney WorldPride, presents
Stage Soldiers (working title)
Stage Soldiers is a new mixed-media theatre work exploring gender fluidity in contrast with growing up in Australian military culture. It’s a personal, emotional, and aggressive work that gives voice to one of many queer Australian stories today. It’s a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance with few laughs along the way and it’s a powerful and brave telling in a community that thrives on difference, but yet to fully accept and embrace this difference.

Collision: Crashing, Splintering and Exploding, we Collide (A work-in-progress event)
PYT Fairfield, in association with Sydney WorldPride, presents
Collision: Crashing, Splintering and Exploding, we Collide.
A viewing, workshop and discussion by the queer, disabled and groovy duo – Low Standards, otherwise known as twins Bedelia Lowrenčev and Jeremy Lowrenčev. This workshop and discussion, explores their work-in-progress Collision and the intersectionality between their queerness and crip time. Audiences will come together to explore multiple marginalised worlds, making work in Western Sydney and dancing to the beat of your own drum.
