PYT welcomes three new team members to the Board

PYT Fairfield is thrilled to be welcoming three new team members to the Board as we move into an exciting new future. Liza Bahamondes, Jessica Boudville and Julia Hunt-McNeur bring a wealth of experience in leadership, fundraising and marketing with a passion for Western Sydney, young people and the arts.

Liza Bahamondes:

Liza Bahamondes is a dynamic leader in the creative industry, with a rich background spanning fashion, community engagement and major events. Her passion for fashion and textiles ignited her career, where she spent a decade immersed in the industry, honing her expertise and fostering connections.

As the Program Manager for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Liza played a pivotal role in orchestrating vibrant celebrations that championed diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQIA+ pride. Her deep respect for community organizations and the queer creative community has informed and guided all her work since.

Currently, Liza serves as a Program Manager in the Major Events and Festivals team at the City of Sydney. Her focus centres on Sydney New Year’s Eve, where she curates unforgettable experiences for millions of viewers worldwide. With seven years of experience as the Art & About Program Manager, Liza collaborated with local and international artists across various disciplines, infusing the city with creativity and innovation.

Liza Bahamondes embodies the spirit of artistic expression, community empowerment, and cultural celebration. Her unwavering dedication continues to shape Sydney’s vibrant cultural tapestry forging paths for generations to come.

Jessica Boudville:

Jessica is a performing arts professional with over two decades of experience in the events and entertainment industry, including roles at Sydney Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Hordern Pavilion, Parramatta Riverside Theatres and Powerhouse Museum. Jessica has had the privilege of managing high-profile productions, global artists and strategic initiatives, developing a varied understanding of the intricacies of the performing arts landscape. 

Jessica has a deep appreciation for the power of the arts, nurturing young talent and fostering creativity. In the 1980’s her family migrated from London to South West Sydney where she grew up. Jessica is eager to contribute to the growth and success of PYT ensuring it remains a vibrant and impactful platform for young artists to thrive and express themselves.

Julia Hunt-McNeur

Julia Hunt-McNeur is a Performing Arts Marketing Manager at the Sydney Opera House, overseeing campaigns for the Children, Families & Creative Learning, and Talks and Ideas portfolios. With a career spanning Aotearoa New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, Julia has held roles in children and youth-centered organisations, including British-based organisations Kids and Into Film, which annually hosts the largest youth-focused film festival in the world.

Her background in entertainment and the arts in Australia includes roles at Universal Sony Pictures and Roadshow Films. Julia is passionate about accessible cultural initiatives that inspire the next generation of artists and audiences, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
